Hello everyone! jasmin here:) woohoo my first post! by the way, we celebrated janice's birthday yesterday at ethel's house! it was super fun and we took super alot of photos (more on facebook!) Janice was totally shocked when she saw us and towards the end, ethel was trying (unsuccesfully) so hard to get Janice downstairs in home clothes so that we could push her into the pool haha..here are some photos for your viewing pleasure (chim-glish)

Awesome Weekend Ahead!

Last week, Rev. AR Bernard came to Heart of God Church and gave his sermon for 2 different services.

The theme for this month is

Anthropological Hypostatic Union,

which in short is "We, becoming like Christ."

Here's a text extracted from Yong Hui's blog: (Thanks, YH!)

(Please note that in no way am I saying this is 100% Gospel truth. This is just my personal interpretation (susceptible to flaws), based on research and hopefully revelation, which I hope will help in some way…)

Essentially, the word hypostatic originates from the Greek: ὑπόστασις, {”[h]upostasis”},”hypostasis”, translated reality or person

So we know about the Incarnation… what about hypostatic union? Basically, it means that Jesus was the union of two natures (Divine and Human) in one hypostases (Reality, Form).

Arrgh! Heavy stuff! But wait, what on earth is anthropological hypostatic union?

Anthropology is the science and study of man. It comes from the Greek comb. form of ánthrōpos denoting “human being, man”.

The hypostatic union pertains to Christ having two natures in one form.

The anthropological hypostatic union pertains to us humans, born-again Christians, having two natures in one form.

Just as the hypostatic union was Christ coming down to take the form of a man, so the anthropological hypostatic union is man going up to become like Christ.

Just as Christ underwent Kenosis (Phil 2:7 “7 Instead, he gave up his divine privileges” (NLT) Strong’s G2758), even so, we must learn to put on the new (divine nature).

Just as boy Jesus, in his hypostatic union, had to increase in wisdom and stature, favour with God and men before he was released into ministry at the age of 30, even so, the Church of God, in our anthropological hypostatic union, will be increasing in wisdom and stature, favour with God and men even as we are poised to fully impact culture, society and the world.

Haha... I feel that it's important that we know about this, because it is an important growing point for us in Church, and our development to becoming Christ-like. :)

This coming weekend is ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE Weekend, too!

During CG today with Tock and D40, we all discussed Pastor How's former sermon on The Genesis of A Genius.

This CG specifically focused on the importance of using the brain just as God willed us to, and this verse:

Mark 12:30
And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.

There are 3 conclusions that we came up with:

1. We are not born stupid or smart, but with the potential to be intelligent.

2. Every time we study or use our brain, we make a connection or new pathway. (Scientific conclusion)

3. Intelligence is a result of thinking!

For this coming Academic Excellence Weekend, as a CG, let us do our best and focus on our goals in our academic pursuits.

God wants us to do our very best in everything we do -- and even through studying, we are able to honour Him. :)

On 10 and 12 July, Rev. AR Bernard came to Heart of God Church, the last leg of his church tour in Asia. Awesome to be the best and last! :D

Everyone wore semi-formal / smart-casual to church, and man, D4 looked soooo good-looking! I totally agree with Pastor How when he said HOGC has the most good-looking people in Singapore. Hah!

I felt that this week's services with Pastor Kent Munsey was really AWESOME!
Haha.

You may feel lonely and alone at times, feeling like no friend cares for you.. but God put those times in our lives as He also wants to spend time alone with us, like how you spend alone time with your close ones.
So when you feel lonely/alone, just look up and you'll find that God's there for you!
We can be alone, but never lonely! :)

I stayed behind and saw how Pastors played basketball 3-on-3 against our church members!
It was super exciting lahh... Especially when Pst How shot the ball into the net! :D

Hey D4 PEEPS!

As they say, the only thing constant in this world is change.

Thus, NEW THINGS have happened to our CG. Thanks to our April Birthday baby, Sidney, it was announced that D4 would undergo some minor shuffling. :)

All the girls will be grouped into D4, all the guys in D40. And GET THIS! A new CG would be added to the D4 Family: D41. This would consist of all the YJC peeps (who's having a revival altogether!).

Also, THEMED CG Service IS BACK!

This coming weeked, our theme would be:

GOD ROCKS!

Come to service this Saturday and Sunday, 18 & 19 March, and wear it like a rockstar. Black shirts, striped tees, skinny ties & cufflinks, cute necklace and spiky hair. :D

Last Wednesday, 18 March, D4 peeps came together in the midst of their March holidays... to play ball! :D

Everyone who came met at Bishan MRT, and headed towards the CC at around 5pm.

After tough rounds of basketball, with our pro-players Benny and Aloysius, we headed towards Ethel's place to play tennis.

Everyone is sweaty-tired -- but still all smiles! :D

Most of us were noobs at Tennis, but that didn't stop us from playing the game! :)

Hi everyone!

its natascha!

i would just like to share something with you all if ya'll dont' mind ;)

some of you may already know, but recently i have organised a charity concert within my school. It was called the United Concert!

40 people from different year groups all made it happen, AND HALF OF THEM WERE PERFORMERS THEMSELVES! the whole concert was organized by these 40 students and 1 teacher!

ok so before i go any further, here's a few things you should know about my school:

the whole secondary section only consists of 200 people!
the secondary section has only around for 5 years while the primary had been here for the past 50 years.
so! every new event we do may just become a tradition!

Back to the story! (:

Auditions were held in september right after i went to my principal

with the idea right after i came back from my trip to singapore! Why? Because when i was back in singapore i attended a service in church which i felt was super powerful on a personal level with me.

When i first moved to pakistan, i had only just joined church for 3 months and i thought, what can i do here? church is all the way back in singapore and there arent any here, WILL I SURVIVE? However, soon enough as i kept on praying simple prayers and reading the Bible i felt God slowly revealing to me that he was going to use me to impact lives in a big way! So, with my new found faith in God's promise, for those two years i was there, i just kept praying and praying knowing that God had sent me here to impact lives in a huge way, praying that i would be able to know when it is God who is trying to speak to me.

That service was super powerful because i recieved a vision so strong and clear i jsut knew it was from God. I saw myself on stage with at least 20 more of my school mates, spotlight shining bright on a huge crowd who were there on a friday night, despite what other plans they may have, to support a cause. From then on i just prayed and prayed that my vision will come to pass, knowing that with God i cannot be stopped.

40 people from the secondary section volunteered as musicians, dancers, backstage crews. What really surprised me wasn't really the number but how they were just able to see what i saw and went with it.

In less than 2 months we were ready. Despite a few setback such as having to postpone the concert because of the India/Pakistan conflict in december what with the country being on the verge of war and everything and the issue of not being able to sell enough tickets after that, we stayed strong.

On the first day we sold 14 tickets (and my principal had made us a deal: if we could sell 100 tickets the concert is a go or else she was going to cancell it!) That same night, Cindy Teo asked me about the concert and i told her about the tickets issue and she suggested why not fast and pray (and that she would pray for me too!)

Immediately the next day, we sold a staggering 50 more tickets. But it was still not enough. So i prayed to God i told him that tomorrow was the deadline to sell 100 tickets and that it would have seemed that selling 50 tickets in such a small school in a day seemed impossible but since he has done it today i believe he will do the same tomorrow. My friend had asked me what were we to do if we didnt sell enough tickets, i told her we didnt have to think about such a scenario because we WILL sell 100 tickets.

The next day, right before i reported to my principal how many tickets i have sold i managed to sell 2 more, making it a total of 101 tickets sold!

After the concert, my principal had decided, why stop there? She said she was so inspired that she was going to create a student council fund where profits from all school events will be kept and by the end of the school year will be emptied out and donated to a charity we were supporting that year, and would start from scratch again each year.

So far we have raised about 45,000 rupees which is like about singapore $1000 (and we're only 4 months into the school year)

And i'm really excited because this year i'm pretty sure the fund is going to be donated to the Raast School. It is a school which runs only on the money it receives from donations to teach kids who can't even afford to pay a school fee of less than 3 cents!!! and i'm really excited because i can start to see people in my school being more eager to change lives after the concert! hahaha that definately means more charity bake sales and fanfares :D

so i just wanted to share this with you guys, and hope you all can see that a litte faith and constant prayer can go a LLLOOOONNNGGGGG way! (:

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.

To all who're getting their O levels results today (plus me, haha), here's a Bible verse to encourage you! :)

Although not many who're taking their results may see this on time, I think I'd still like to type this out.. Haha..

I was feeling like really scared (scared until I can feel my heart beat) to see my results suddenly minutes ago..
However, I felt God putting this verse in my heart, telling me not to be anxious.. and just trust in Him, because my future's safe in His hands already.. :)

So if you're collecting your results like me too, and are feeling nervous, don't be! :)
LET'S HAVE FAITH!!
I believe that God has planned an amazing future for you and I, each and everyone of us!

Yeah.. So when I get my results tomorrow, no matter what my results are, I'll still thank God for it, and from there, I know my future's going to be amazing too! :)

And since our CG has many people taking their major exams this year also, for those who're having their major exams, don't feel too worried about your O/N levels' approach too okay! It's going to be great. ;D

Let's all not just rely on our own strength as we do things, but rely on God's strength, be God-dependent, Amen? :)

Tomorrow, 10 Jan 2009 (Saturday), we are gonna be having a themed CG service. Everyone come wearing shades (beach shades, shutters, Oakleys, Raybans, Bugis Streets, whatever) to church!

And to instil that fun and excitement to our service, come dressed up! I SUGGEST ROCKERS! Tock and the other girls may also want to come as Beach babes, with floral dresses and all. (Go FLOWER POWER!)

Think this is all too much fun? It is!

Just when I thought I've lost the passion on blogging.. Here I am!!! I'm back, the Mysterious Number 1 Clare heehee I like being mysteriouzzzz! Ok so.. someone hasn't post since the East Coast Park post! Aiyo!! Now already 2009! Haha, so Xmas services and New year countdown are OVER! & many people have already started school!! Like.. I shall name all that I know hahaha oops.. Ok i shall not it's so mean!!

Ok so I'm sure everybody enjoyed the Xmas services and the New year countdown for ALL who went!! :) In 2009 I'm sure we'll learn more together, play together and have lotsa fun together! Everybody I love all of you you youuzzz! :D :D :D :D :D & for those who've started school.. STUDY HARD especially those taking Os this year like Veluriya, Johncelin, Benny, Yangqin, Lewis, Shawn, YingXuan, Ethel, Brian, Sarah, Jingxia, Yanwen... Is that all? I don't know! Aiya almost all I guess! Haha, so.. you all must put in your mooooooooost effort okkk!! & rlly study consistently cuz consistency is IMPORTANT!! Don't lag behind kkk!!!!

Ok ya so anyway I just wanna say, in this whole of 2008, I've learnt a lot and I'm very the glad I'm back in church since.. Feb 2008!! Hello everybody! Woohoo, I just went to KL on Thursday with my family and I just reached home about an hour ago!
For those who ARE OVERSEAS NOW (Briansssss, Veluriya, Johncelin andddd somemore? Hahaa sorry if I missed out your name!), have fun there but don't forget us k! HAHAAHA. You all will be missseddd by D4! Heheeehe!

Woah, I think I really enjoyed my past 3 days.. It was like super exciting, from fish spa, to meeting some super (really super) taxi driver, to almost losing my handphone. Many things I never experienced in my entired life before. HAHAHA. To sum it up all, it was an AWESOME trip. Haha..

However, although it was fun there, I think that it can never beat being in God's house, being with you guys in D4! Compared to being in KL for 3 days, I'd rather stay overnight in Church for 3 days, just being in my Father's business! Being in God's presence is really so much better than anything else.. Better than the materialistic things of the world.. Better than living the life that I want to! There's really no place I'd like to call home, except for my home with my biological family, and heart of God church!
Heart of God church has really become my Home, because I know this is where I will be no matter what circumstance.
I just feel so happy to be in this walk with God with all of you in D4, and I believe we're put in a cg together for a special and specific reason. :)

Let's always be there for one another, supporting each and every one in D4 and in church, and build this family together! :)

D4 is going to be a strong CG for God!

Hi Dearest D4!

It's time for me to post. Ok, i shall not reveal who i am till the last.
Anyway, just want to say that, it's great and such a privilege to be in D4!
I would never trade you guys for anyone else.
BBQ outing was awesome and i really hope that in future, when we come out again for cg outing, we would really build deep relationships and bond with each other. This is really important because we're a family! And when we are bonded, it means that on top of loving each other, we build each others' strengths, cover each others' weaknesses.

It means that whenever someone is emoing, we would just cheer each other up.
It means that when someone is happy, we enjoy, celebrate together.
It means that when someone is bullied, we stand up for that person no matter what circumstances it is.
It means that when someone's family has problems, we will be there to support them spiritually, that is .. through prayer!
It means that when someone is growing in the house of God, we encourage him/her and push them up.
It means that when someone hears or received a revelation from God, we feel happy for him/her and help each other to grow in God as well!
It means that when someone does badly in exam, we do not look down on them but we motivate them to study, we lend a helping hand in wherever we can.
It means that when someone has strong PO and can't come for service, we update them with what's happening in church, give them sermon CDs.
It means that during someone's birthday, we would celebrate together for him/her.
It means that when someone is sick, we shower them with love and concern.
That is how a DREAM TEAM operates!

HELLO MY FELLOW D4 AND D40! Tell you all what, I really cannot find a word to describe how I felt today!! TOTALLY, the feeling is even much stronger than that time that I dedicated notes to each and every of yoU! D4 and D40, you guys are SO loved and I feel so loved as well!! Thank you, for everything! I'm soooooo elated to be growing in the house of God with YOU all!!! Sorry but I really very very very the loving now hee!! Soooo, today was the long awaited D4&D40 BBQ!

Attendance was GREAT! (Augustine, Benny, Cindy, Clare, Desmond, Elysia, Emily, Erica, Jessica, Jianfan (NOT OUR CG), Jingxia, Johncelin, Lewis, Lionel, Matterson, Matthew, Priscillia, Sarah, Shawn, Tervin, Tock, Veluriya, Yangqin, Zhengrui), GOOD, but bad thing is we din manage to take a full picture ): I'm so sure those who didn't go are feeling so upset lor, too bad for you all heeheeee.

Okay let's see! BBQ started around I dont know what time. But those who started the fire at first were jianfan and augustine and tockie. haha. Augustine said we only needed 2 fire starters to start the fire, in the end i think we still used two boxes LOL. Ok so anyway I shall brief only k, if anyone wants to detail the post, then blog a new one, or edit, cause i'm super tired now my eyelids are kissing soon. :(

So, everyone came very soon and fire start and all. cook food, then like erm first exciting thing i suppose is grabbing jianfan and throwing him into the pool. then second up was johncelin i think? haha, yup then like everyone had fun pushing each other in the ppooollll i think and those who didn't got in th pool were me, zhengrui, elysia, jessica, tervin, tock, jingxia. haha, but i think they all had fun man! :) and food was good. Ok i really lazy la, now i just want to share how i feel about today, and go to SLEEP.

Ok, so I really liked today because I got to erm talk to people I've never talked to, like Shawn and Lewis, and probably Jingxia and Sarah and Tervin and... hanging out with those cg peeps was REALLY good. Because I never ever knew I would love my cg mates so much, and never ever knew I would want to know them more so much!! I love and love people like Erica and Vel. And I'm sure we'll know eachother more!! I think today everyone was all happy and good cause like we had fun eating chatting laughing and erm everything la k... And now then I know that Lewis and Shawn are nice peeps. Heeeeeeeeheeeee and now then I know desmond so gay voice one lor, such a talent hor HEATER you so hot sia.. And cute boys like Lionel, HOW TO STAND?! Aiyo.. how, i'm becoming more loving towards the CG everytime we hang out like this. This is totally amazing man. I never knew Tervin love new creations of marshmellows with satays.. And I never knew Zhengrui was really a lame guy HAHAHA oops!! Never knew I could talk properly with girls cus i always cant heeheeee, never knew johncelin trusted my taste HAHAHAHHAA oops, never knew priscillia always had same thoughts as me, never knew erica liked to kiss me, never knew vel was such a nice and cute and totally awesome person, never knew shawn and lewis can be talked to lor, never knew shawn thought i looked fierce, HAHHAHA. never knew tock could be such a mother HAHAHAHA, never knew benny was really very very tall and giant hee, never knew yangqin could rlly play th guitar well and sing well, never knew my cg mates can really be this fun. PEOPLE I REALLY LIKE YOU ALL NOW, and I really want to like all of you for ever and evermore my lovessss!

Hello D4!!! Hahaha, woooo! I'm not Clare this time, I'm ELYSIAAAAAA! Hahaha.

How's everybody! :)

Anyway, I'm here to blog partly because Tock asked me to. Hahaha and the other part is because I've got something exciting to share with you all about what just happened in my life today!

For the past few weeks, I had been feeling really broke because I do not get my daily allowance during the holidays! There's so many things I have been wanting to buy (things like presents for friends, christmas presents, stuff I like..) but I couldn't because I really have not enough money.

And weeks ago, I signed up for School of Worship (Vocals)! I was initially thinking of how I was going to get the signup fee of $40 if I got in to SOW, but I decided to just have faith and sign up for it, and I kept believing that I will get the 40$ no matter what, even if I were to go to my last resort, to "borrow" money from my atm card (I'm not supposed to touch the money in my bank without my parents' permission).. Hahaha!

And today, I just got informed that I got in to SOW Vocals, together with Augustine, Yangqin and also Joanna(D3)! Yay!!!
So when I reached home, I went to count all the money that I saved up for the past few weeks, and in total there was only about 20$ in it. But somehow, I still did not really worry about the money because I was still having faith that I WILL get the 40$ .

And suddenly, SUDDENLY I remembered about a long-forgotten mini drawer where I hid some of my angpow money inside in January. I really forgot about me putting money in the drawer for almost the whole year already!
So I immediately opened the drawer, and guess what!!
I found a $50 note in a red packet!
I was filled with joy at that moment because I could pay for joining SOW Vocals, and even for my HOGC privilege card!
And not only that, my grandmother also just gave me $10!
Which means, I'm still left with 30$ TO SPEND on my own! (plus the money I'm going to save up over the next few weeks)
I really have MUCH MORE THAN what I had previously, now!!!
I was only hoping to get 40$ with no extras, but what I got was 50$ with an extra of 30$!
WHOAAA.

Thank God, for blessing me financially!
I know that this isn't done by my own strength or might, but by God's Spirit! :D
Yeahhh! God is truly indeed amazingly amazing! And I can never say that He isn't real, because He is just so real in my life!

Yeah, so let's all keep having faith in Him despite the toughest times. As you have faith, I believe things are going to move in the physical and spiritual realm! :)

FAITH

And also, I feel that this holiday's a really good time for us to grow in God! (: As you have a little bit of time every day/night, why not give that bit of time to God, spend time getting to know Him in a closer way by worshipping Him, praying and reading your Bibles to know the word of God!

Let's grow together as a CEG, love God, love people, and love life more and more each day!

Wow, today I met Dessy, Lionel, Sarah and Jing Xia at Peninsula to buy guitar strings!! And it was really an unforgetable experience!

We stepped into Peninsula plaza and we were stopped by a guy! (I cant really say who or what here... if not I'll go to jail haha). So yes.. he started to interrogate us and scold us, he even wanted to bring us to the police station! Man it was scary! Thank God for helping us through it, really. If God's favour wasnt upon us, I'm quite sure we'll end up at the police station!!

I really learnt (1st hand) to stand up for the people I love and trust.. that's all of you :) When it comes to standing up for your CG/church mates in a fight, even if they're wrong at the time, you just need to stand up for them first! It's called protecting the family! (then if they're really in the wrong, then kill them after that.. haha). But we need to stand up for each other in church, CG, stand up for Pastors and our Leaders! It's because we know that they are good people and we have faith in them! I'm sure if our parents ever stand up for our friends instead of us when we fight with our friend, we'll feel very insecure right? I mean.. they are our parents! Even if we are in the wrong, they should stand up for us (first)! Right? It's the same for us in church! We are a spiritual family! If we dont stand up for each other, where's the love and unity in church that we're supposed to experience?

Lets build a strong spiritual family together amen?

Today, I learnt a super valuable lesson, and I wont forget it!
I'm loving the CG even more each day man!!

Hehehheh, I just came online for a while (time to.. take a break HAHA).
My O levels starts next Monday! Wooo, I'm getting a little nervous already because the first paper is going to be the subject that I'm weakest in - Chemistry! Haha.
But I'm just having faith that I'll be able to do well in my O levels, to glorify God with my results ultimately!

For those starting their O levels this Thursday/next Monday (Clare, Joey, Esther and somemore) also, let's study just a little bit more everyday okay! You're not alone in this. :D And with God, it's going to be easy! LET'S GO GO GO! :D

And for those who are getting their exam results back already, whatever results you get, just thank God for it!
If you did well/improved, hurray! :)
But if you didn't, don't feel upset, but look at it with a different point of view! Do not feel too discouraged if you didn't get the results that you expected to get (I understand the feeling of getting results you do not like which is like super sian, but still, thank God for it!), because next time, as you work harder, you can get better, greater, improved results! And remember that it's not about how you begin, but it's about how you end. :D

Oh yeah, I'm looking forward to the end of my O levels, when there's services with Nick Vujicic, Pastor Kong, Asia Conference and loadss more!
Let's have a great holiday of RE-CREATION together as a CG and grow in God together! Woohoo...

Hey guys! Johncelin here, decided I shall contribute to our happening blog today:)

The good news: Exams are over for most! And D4's attendance, together with church's attendance is growing, which means more lives saved and more parties in heaven!

The bad news: O levels, A levels not over yet, and I am pretty worried about my results, don't know if i can make the grade. My house got infected with bed bugs, and the economy's dropping (Not that i really care, but i guess some parents of ours might start using that as an excuse to nag...)

Oh well, there's another piece of good news! That the holidays are going to be packed with spiritual blockbuster services man. Nick Vujicic is Coming! Pastor Kong is coming!

Today i just wanna share with you guys an amazing thing that happened, Fifi, our leader, shared with us that maybe we could have more of an evangelistic spirit in us by using our Msn to reach out to people, so I decided to put Nick Vujicic is coming and he's stronger than you, ask me why! ... And people really asked me man, and the most exciting thing is they are the least unexpected people, even a teacher! And I am going to invite them to church man!

Really, I am already amazed and touched by the great testimony of Nick Vujicic . People complained about their skinny legs, flabby arms, or whatever. But here he is, without limbs, and living a life greater and stronger than most of us, his great determination is just so respectable man. I am so excited to meet him. He offers hugs to people after every service, and I am looking forward to that. I mean, what would you say when you meet him? He's amazing man! It truly shows how God is really strengthening your heart for something bigger when he puts you through various trials and tribulations.

And studying for the exams was tough man, I think studying too much does something to your brain, for me, I have no idea why but i keep thinking about my future.

Maybe we can start posting our personal testimony? i don't know, i think it'd be cool! I might...

Yeah man, so i think lets all really pray for the people taking O or A levels , people like Kevin, Wei Cheng, Elysia, Clare, Joey....And for church growth, that our spirits will double !

Will you listen to god?

Sometimes God ask us do the unexpected. However, the unexpected seems so ludicrous which seems pretty unbelievable and might be horrible for yourself in fact. But, HAVE FAITH in God. And you will be handsomely rewarded with multitudes of blessings in many forms.

From Genesis 22: 1-18

As we all know, God challenged Abraham to sacrifice his son. Which father in the right mind will kill his own flesh and blood?! But with all faith in God. He readily offered his son to God as a burnt offering. BUT, as God is God and he just wanted to test Abraham's faith, and Abraham faith just hit the roof, he sent a sign, spared the son and let Abraham offer something else instead.

Many times, things God ask you to do are just so unfathomable. Like Abraham burning his son up on a stick for offering to God. However, it will most probably be a divnely approved opportunity. Remember Pastor How's recent sermon about Opportunity? Doing whatever God tells u in God's nature and will will definitely reap blessings as it goes in his good.

But beware. Sometimes it might not be God, but the Devil who asks you to do something crazy. Thats even more dangerous if you are not closely in tune with God's frequency. Its like a radio recieving mixed signals. Ugh disgusting. When a voice in you tells u to do something which might be crazy or unbelievable, confirm with God whether its his, and do not fall into Devil's created opportunity.
Now its exam times

Now it maybe our promos/O lvls/N lvls or EoYs.
Some say don't go church, don't go CG, dont waste time blah blah.

Its quite ironic. God sent his beloved Son down to save us. And when we are at this period of time, we NEED GOD MORE, not to go away from him.
It is at this period of time when we need God most. We need and crave for his support, his peace and calmness, and the Holyspirit to help us move our pens in the right direction.
Thats why, even you have exams, go for service! go for cg!. Refill your spiritual oil at the spiritual fuelstop, which is the church!!

Dont belittle what God can do for you. And nothing is too difficult for him!!

Hi everyone! This is my first time posting something here! Just wanted to post something before I continue studying for my exams! Haha actually before posting, I was half-sleeping while studying and I decided to just look at the D4 blog for awhile(:

Eh I'm not going to reveal my identity, but I'm your mysterious CG mate, someone I think nobody will guess correctly. So mysterious right! Wow I love being mysterious.

Hah! Okay I'm going to tell all of you now, those who are in JCs, those taking O levels, or those having final year examinations! NOT those who are working cause they're already old :( Like.. I can only think of one! TOCK. Okay :P I think she knows who I am liao :(

Okay! So I think exams are coming, for many. So you all must jiayou okay! When you all are tired from studying, take a break! Okay I'm going to tell you all what I do, very paiseh but nevermind.. Each time I'm tired from studying, I'll take a break, I'll go to the window, and I'll sing! Most of the time I'll sing songs like those really nice ones, which really enters my heart and make me THINK ones la! Can put your "gan qing" in, then let it all out! Your stress, your frustration, whatever! I think Hati Hamba is good though, never fail to.. make, me feel that God is right beside me! :) :) :)

K this is how I manage with tiredness and stress la! Try it I think it works! :) Then after that my energy level will be once again, filled to the brim!

Hello D4 and D40! I'm here to blog again! Woohoooo

First of all,
HAPPY 2 YEARS AND 1 DAY OLD TO ME! :)
Yes, I'm a 2 years and 1 day old Christian today already.
And I'm really thankful to God for the things that He has done in my life..

As O levels are coming, some of my friends have been asking me questions like why I still go to Church every weekend and not study at home instead...

Sometimes I think it's also about how much we desire to do certain things.

I go to Church every weekend because that's where I meet my awesome CG mates and Church friends, new friends, seeing people's lives changed, and most importantly, experience God and learn more, to grow in Him! I am just excited about growing our Church to 1400, and growing in my own character with the Church!

I think that there's nothing better than spending my days in God's house, because a day in His courts is really better than a thousand days elsewhere..
Yes, so nothing can stop me from going to Church despite having many other things to do! :)

I have faith that I can do well in my O levels with God in me!!!!!

Hey guys, its Johncelin here, dont really blog much, but decided to contribute something to the cg's blog :)

Firstly, congrats to Darren man! You're finally found freedom, you're gonna be a great testimony, Jiayou man!

Today was a really cool saturday, service with Her Excellency Zanele Makina was really great man, really got imapcted by it, lets humble ourselves and serve god for all the days of our lives, because its our greatest honour! Sang Lord I gave you my heart, a song which i had really longed to sing for long, great to sing that love anthem again. Felt this faith that we are really going to be the next generation of leaders man! Lets work hard!

Saw a couple of new friends too, Desmond , brought by Veluriya, was a super awesome dude, real cool and friendly, plays good soccer too, had a really great time talking to him. You rock man! Saw a few Catholic high sec 4 guys brought by Kelvin and Weicheng of D2. Cat high is going to have a revival man! Gong Jiao!

After service, went to Esplanade as a cg to celebrate mooncake festival, havent been there for months. Ate dinner together there, then had mooncake, played with lantern, played with sparklers, took loads of pics. It was tons of fun man. Somehow, its all these things that really brings our sweet childhood back :) Its not lame, Its pretty exciting! After that, played the "who, what, huh!' game. Really had fun and laughter! Played it in church with the heart to heart and children church's people, loved the game. HAHA, Benny and Desmond had to do the forfeit which was to run to each other in a dramatic fashion and hug each other and say I love you real loudly. Hahaha too bad benny was too strong and accidentally injured Desmond, hope your arm's ok man:) Haha forfeits are always fun man, that time I had to sit beside this old lady and pretended to emo with her and Benny had to ask the hawker stall owner to teach him how to cook a seafood dish. Guess what? the aunty asked him, "you want to learn, $6, $9, $12 one, and say i can teach you but cannot teach you the chili." hahaha, Yeah its always fun and cool!

Season of exams now, promos, o levels, finaly year exams, pretty stress out now, almost everyone is, haha, lets all study hard and really glorify god with our results :)

Really felt that over these few weeks or months, D4 and D40 have just grown so much fun and lively, and bonded . people rising up, new friends coming, outings...awesome sight man! God's with us every step, evey breath, every day!

Whoa, this is my first blog entry in D4's blog!

And this is a portion of D4 & D40! Haha :)

Yes, I just got a really short break from my prelims! Only 9 more papers to sit for!
Heyhey.
If you're having exams too, don't get too stressed out okay! :)
Instead, let's rejoice and be excited about it! Hahaha. We can study now and play later! :D
I came upon this verse 2 days ago in the Bible:
"This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it" - Psalms 118 : 24

Although sometimes I do get tired after studying for a long time, I'll pray to God and seek help from Him and I know that He's always there.

On Thursday, when I took my Amaths paper 1, amazingly, I did it feeling a peace inside my heart! I felt that it was really God who helped me in doing my paper.
Initially when I reached question 3 of the paper, I could not solve the question so I skipped it. When I reached question 4, I also did not know how to do it and skipped it. Then I panicked for a while! So I prayed to God asking Him to give me wisdom and guide me.
And then I just felt a peace inside my heart that it will be okay.
So I continued with my paper.

And then after completing the last page of the paper, I went back to try doing question 4, and suddenly, I just knew how to do it and got the answer!
Although there was only 5 minutes left after I completed question 4, somehow, I flipped to a page and checked if I wrote the right answers for one of the questions. And as I punched the numbers into my calculator, I found out that my calculations to the answer were actually wrong! So within 5 minutes, I got to correct my answer!
I felt amazed that I actually chose to check if my answers were right for that question.
If it was the normal me, having 5 minutes, I would not even bother to check whether my answers were right. I knew it could only be God! :)

Although in the end I still submitted the paper with 2 questions that I didn't manage to find answers for, it was the first time I left the examination hall feeling joyful after an Amath paper.
No matter what my results are, I'll still thank God for it because I know that my future is safe in His hands.
Thank You Jesus! :)

Bishan for Movie [Meet Dave] at 2.20pm which I was going to watch with FiFi, Brian and 2 of his friends. This show is really SUPER DUPER ULTRA HILARIOUS! You got to catch this movie, though some might say this show is stupid (:

The movie ended at 4+pm than we met Elysia, Kevin, YanWen, Emily, Natasha and her brother [sorry again if i forgot anybody's name] and we played "hide and seek" in the whole of J8 [suggested by Foo Yan Wen]. Tock was on her way to J8 so might as well she be the catcher, Kevin and I were together, everyone was caught even for Kevin accept for men but got caught in the end ARGH! We headed for the basketball court right next to Catholic High Sec for basketball, captain's ball and all kinds of finger game. We met Johncelin, YangQin and .... forgot names LOL, too many people already. Every single game was fun fun fun!!

Was playing some kinda finger game thought by YanWen or Elysia? I forgot, I have SuperSTM.
All looking at ball "chop" into the hoop. haha.

Haha. We played till we were all so tired. Wowowow!! It's been ages since I last blogged, but this blog is so exciting that I just needed to post!!

HELLO D4!! You're just so cool and I love hanging out with you girls and guys man.... today was simply awesome. :) I havent played hide and seek since I was secondary school, and today, my once-favourite game was revived! Fifi got me to find her, Darren, Kevin, Yan Wen, Natascha, Lucien, Emily and Elysia in the whole of J8!! It was a near impossible task.. but how many of you know that, with God all things are possible amen? haha. I walked around from the first floor, all the way to the top, through the arcade, then kopitiam for about 10 mins. THEN! I headed towards the open air playground. (it must have been the Holy Spirit leading me)... I saw Yanwen's legs sticking out of the slide! Funny how I saw her legs and I knew it was her! Lo and behold... it wasnt just her! Emily, Elysia, Natascha and Lucien were playing there as well! They cleverly gathered together to play when they were supposed to hide! So I caught them all at one shot! ;) Then we walked around and spotted Kevin just below the escalator! Darren was apparently with him too, but I didnt see him. We talked to Cartel.. and I spotted Fifi at Macs! Kevin was calling her to tell her he got caught! Yeah.. then Darren was the last man standing... we found him on the second floor..

After hide and seek we went to play basketball behind Cat High. Some of us (me, Yan Wen, Emily, Nat, Ely) played captains ball and then Darren joined us to play concentration, some tiu tiu game, finger game.. and lots more! WE NEED TO HAVE A CHALET AT THE END OF THE YEAR TO PLAY ALL THESE!

Lucien was happily sitting by the corner, emoing, saying he's tired! Haha.. but he's really cool! He's grown so much since last year? He's almost double the height and size! I almost couldnt reconise him :D

After everything, me, Janice and Steffie went to eat at Macs. Janice and Steffie are actually quite similar and they've got quite a lot of things in common (that's scary)... they started doing weird things together. I shan't elaborate on it.

Today i had my 1st follow up!
FOLLOW UP! Benny taught me about the 4 kinds of heart that different people have when exposed to God:

1stly, there are hearts that are like soil that is hardened, when soil is hardened, plants cannot grow, and when the heart is like the hardened soil, God cannot sow in your heart, you get what i mean?
2ndly, there are hearts that are like stony ground, and when the heart is like the stony ground, the 'seeds' grow without roots, which means God word is not planted properly, and when the sun scorch the plants [sun refers to troubles or any other obstacles; plants refer to the word/seed of God], the plants quickly withered away as it had no roots. [God is forgotten quickly as it was not planted properly]
3rdly, there are hearts that are filled with thorns. The word/seed of God is planted in the heart but the heart is filled with thorns [thorns refer to causes of the world, deceitfulness of richness and desire of things], therefore people with this type of hearts cannot bear 'fruit' as they care more about others things in the world. Meaning? They place other things on top of God.
Lastly, there are hearts that has furtile soil, soil that is sooo gooddd! People with this kinda heart listens to God word, accept God's word and bear 'fruit'.

So which kinda heart have you decided to have? COME AND KNOW GOD TODAY! =DD

Today got D4 connect group meeting but only Darren, Priscillia, Elysia and Janice turned up. Tock was the person conducting this cgm =) After all the talking and praying and worship/praising. We went to draw on the white board and look at our MASTERPIECE. nice right ?!?! =DD
